A Special Inn In A Special Location


Built over two hundred sixty years ago, the Beach Knoll was one of the first homes built on Sandy Bay in the seaport town of Rockport. The home has original beamed ceilings, wide pine floors, unusual dog-eared molding, Y stairways, and four fireplaces, including a rare five foot open hearth fireplace with bake ovens. Hidden behind the fireplace is a well padded ladder that led from the attic to a secret passage where there was a tunnel out to the beach.

The remainder of the Beach Knoll is comprised of an addition to the original home, apartments and an attractive cottage. Our buildings combine a colonial atmosphere with the enjoyment of oceanside living and modern conveniences. All accommodations have limited or full time cooking available
and in-room coffee is provided.
There are sitting areas outside all of accommodations to take full advantage of the ocean views, shade trees, and backyard barbeque area.
